This is Jeff's favorite hybrid. A spectacular creation from the Victorian age of Nepenthes horticulture, N. x tiveyi ("tivvey-ai") is a cross between two highland species, N. maxima x veitchii. The clone we carry has proven to be an absolute gem. It produces one of the most spectacular pitchers we've ever seen. The lower traps are brightly colored with orange and red blotches, and the peristome is boldly striped orange, red, and yellow. We've had the best success with it on our kitchen windowsill, where it has adapted well as a houseplant!
