Hercules is a selected cross of Drosera capensis var. alba and Drosera aliciae. It is noted for its stout, wide, oar-shaped leaves and large growth habits. An adult plant can have a leaf span of 8 inches. Provide mild temperatures and bright sunlight to appreciate the full potential of this plant. While we recommend growing as a tropical plant, we grew one plant outdoors at our nursery (USDA Zone 8) for a couple of years. It shed its leaves in winter and came back in spring. Surprisingly tough little guy.
Plant You Receive
• Juvenile plant, approximately 4 inches in diameter.
• Will reach maturity within an additional 6-12 months.
• Acclimated for windowsill growing.
• Shipped in a 3-inch pot. Care info is included.
General Care
Type of Plant: Tropical sundew for windowsill growing.
Sunlight: Partial sun. Avoid harsh, hot sunlight.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less). Keep the soil wet.
Soil: Equal parts peat moss and perlite. No garden soil, compost, or fertilizer.
Temperatures: Tolerant of cool temperatures but always protect from frost.

    I figured since its winter they would be more dormant, but they have already sprouted new stalks (if that the correct term) and ate growing great

    It arrived in great shape and was packaged well. The plant itself is gorgeous and a good sized specimen, not a tiny seedling like some places sell.
