This is one of the most vigorous and resilient plant in our collection. Our original mother plant was purchased during the 1980s! Traps on this plant are short, topping out at 8 inches in height, but uniform and charismatic, especially on established plants. As a true miniature species, plant it with small sundews and flytraps, or in mini-bog planters for a long-lasting display. And there must be something in the nectar! Flying insects will literally squeeze themselves into a pitcher to get to lap it up. It's not at all unusual to see a yellow jacket stuck head-first in a pitcher with its legs sticking up in the air. In spring, look for small red flowers that look like chandeliers and smell like fresh-picked raspberries!

The ruba ruba is just flourishing. I put it in a bigger pot and it's gotten bigger. I'm so excited.

    Great Product/Great Customer Care

Posted by Unknown on September 2, 2020

Unfortunately, my package had gotten lost due to the budget cuts with USPS. For about a week I wasn't sure if the package was gonna make it. It did get delivered, and even though the box was beaten up, the plant was so well packaged and protected that it's now been a month since I've gotten it and it's growing strong.
