This natural hybrid, commonly referred to as exornata, produces stout pitchers with yellow and red colors blended throughout. Grow this plant in a very sunny and warm location. Look for its best pitchers of the season in late summer.

Plants You Receive
Plants are shipped in 4-inch pots with proper growing media. Each plant is a division from select mother plants in our collection. Pitchers are expected to reach 4-6 inches during their first season after division.

All cold hardy plants are grown outdoors at our nursery in Oregon and experience the changes of the seasons. Care instructions are provided.

Please watch the monthly video podcast for examples of how your plant may look at this time of the year and important growing tips for the season.

This is our third order, and we are so happy with the packing and shipping for each plant. All are growing and spreading out all over the place. A site to behold and wonder. Looking forward to seeing, their full growth.

    Great plants and service!

Posted by Daniel Wachenheim on February 17, 2019

Beautiful plants, carefully packed and sent. These guys have a wonderful selection, and they know their stuff. I have bought from another nursery. The plants that came from Sarracenia NW were much larger and healthier looking. I also appreciate the hands-on personal service. I re-read Jacob's ebook before buying these. Very helpful. Five stars! Cant wait to see if there is bloom this year!

    Will order again

Posted by Sarah on November 19, 2018

I placed my order with slight concerns regarding the time of year (fall/winter) but received a beautiful plant. It even came with care instructions and other helpful information. This will not be my last order with Sarracenia Northwest.

    Dispose negative reviews

Posted by Hermanus Van Greunen on July 31, 2018

I love all the plants you guys have ever sent me. It's unfortunate when you have people share an extensive email from you which puts them in even a more negative light. All it takes is to read and properly communicate... this is a great plant and people need to educate themselves before sharing their scope of nonsense.

    Received a damaged/sick plant

Posted by Can Imamoglu on February 21, 2018

Was not looking well upon receiving the package. Frustrating to see Sarracenia northwest sending a plant this condition. Looks like she is not going to make it for too long regardless of my efforts. *** RESPONSE BY SARRACENIA NORTHWEST *** I'm sorry that the plant didn't grow well for you. I reviewed my database, and I don't see any messages from you regarding your order. We are here to help you out as much as we can. All we ask is that you let us know of your concerns so that we can rectify the situation as quickly as possible. At the time of shipping, your plant was dormant, and one or two pitchers from last season remained. This plant also grows much slower than the other plants in your order, and comes out of dormancy much later. You had received the plant only one month ago. It is too soon to expect it to show any new growth, even if you are forcing it out of dormancy indoors. If kept outside, you won't see any new growth until the weather warms up significantly.

    Totally satisfied

Your plants come healthy and LARGE. I have bought from California Carnivores, generally reliable, good supply of various plants, sent well, but I prefer your SERVICE. I have purchased several from you and am totally pleased. They are all doing well.
