Not much is known about the natural history of this plant. It's been in cultivation for many decades and many stories are associated with it. Some speculate that it's a form of Nepenthes maxima. Others contend that it's a horticultural hybrid, Nepenthes maxima x albomarginata. A few other growers think it's a type of N. stenophylla. We tend to think it's a form of N. maxima because upper pitchers of both plants are very similar in size, shape, and color. However, that's not definitive enough to call it a form of N. maxima. To this date, we have yet to see its lower pitchers. Our mother plant produces only upper pitchers, regardless of how it is grown. The pitchers are funnel-shaped and yellow-green with solid brown peristome. Regardless of its natural history, N. curtisii is a hardy grower. All of our stock plants come from a mother plant that was purchased in the early 1990s!

The most beautiful Nepenthes I have ever seen. It arrived super well packaged, and the plant is big and robust with a stunning pitcher (plus two more new shoots)!

As always, SNW continues to supply my addiction to carnivorous plants. The Nepenthes I've received from them have been nothing short of spectacular. They grow extremely well, pitcher very fast, and are hardy growers. They will always on my short list of places to get plants.

    Nepenthes Curtsii

I am a long time customer of Sarracenia Northwest. Some time ago my I lost my nepethes curtsii. When I saw that SNW was offering it for sale, I did not hesitate buying one from them. Most of the time I prefer it when I can pick my own plant, but when I buy from SSW, I know I will get a healthy beautiful plant.
