Pitchers on this hybrid are cute as a button! They look like tiny beehives with maroon mottling, maybe 3 inches tall at the most. Leaves are narrow and sometimes deeply colored in strong sunlight. This hybrid grows best when lighting is bright, days are comfortable, and nights are somewhat cool. A bright windowsill is the perfect home for this beauty.

Type of Plant: Tropical pitcher plant for windowsill growing.
Pitcher Size Up to 3 inches.
Sunlight: Bright filtered to partial sun.
Water: Low-mineral water (50 ppm or less).
Soil: Equal parts dried sphagnum moss and perlite.
Temperatures: Above 70°F during the day. Nighttime temperature of 50°-60°F is highly recommended for optimal growth. Always protect from frost.

Can't say enough good things about this plant. There were no pitchers on the carefully packaged and secured plant, but in less than a month a couple of beautiful pitchers appeared and more are on the way!

    Disappointed

Posted by Unknown on October 21, 2019

Mine arrived looking like it was struggling. The stem seemed abnormally black and the leaves were turning yellow. I’m watching it closely but it’s not looking good. ••• RESPONSE FROM SARRACENIA NORTHWEST*** I'm sorry that the plant wasn't to your expectations. I checked my records, and I didn't see any messages from you regarding this plant. We offer support and a 30-day guarantee on our plants, but we do need your assistance in reaching out to us so that we can correct any issues that may have occurred. Without knowing any details about how you have been caring for the plant, I can't offer any advice or changes to what you're doing. Nepenthes are woody vines, so it's natural for the lower stem to darken and harden as it ages, sort of like a bark. Older leaves will also turn yellow as they age, especially when we change seasons, such as now. You're still welcome to contact us regarding your plant. Visit the Carnivorous Plant Help page for more information on how to submit your question.
