This plant grows very slowly, but the patient gardener will be greatly rewarded. In a world of flashy colors of deep purples and reds, this all-green morph of S. x chelsonii has caught the attention of customers time and time again, buying us out of them at the first open house we offered them at. Pitchers are uniform, facing inward in a clustered habit, with a prominent, broad, spade-shaped hood that points straight upward. The wide triangular mouth is just slightly spouted, and nectar can be seen heavily secreted around the lip. It bears green flowers in early spring and green pitchers throughout summer. Pitchers on an adult plant will reach 8 inches. Its best pitchers occurs in mid to late summer and will often last into winter.
