General Description

This hybrid is one of delicate beauty and elegance. Its pitchers have a wide mouth, and the hoods are patterned with thick reddish brown veins against a light green background. All were from seed, so some variation will occur. During the hottest parts of summer, the plant will take a short siesta. In late summer when the weather cools, look for another set of pitchers to take you into the fall season. Look for lots of red flowers in spring.
Plants You Receive
Plants are shipped in 4-inch pots with proper growing media. Each plant is a division from select mother plants in our collection. Pitchers are expected to reach 12 inches during their first season after division.

All cold hardy plants are grown outdoors at our nursery in Oregon and experience the changes of the seasons. Care instructions are provided.

Please watch the monthly video podcast for examples of how your plant may look at this time of the year and important growing tips for the season.

The plant arrived well packaged and in good shape. It soon grew 2 new leaves which are now 18 inches tall and ready to catch bugs. Within the past week it has also grown a tall shoot with a flower.

Fast grower April 23, 2017
Reviewer: Sean S. from Ventura, CA United States
This arrived as a very decent sized rhizome and had two small leaves about a quarter inch. Within two days the leaves were about a half inch tall. After a week I had a 2 inch flower stalk beginning to spring up. I have now had it for about a month and the flower stalk is about 16 inches tall, with about 6 pitchers, each about a foot tall. The flower looks like it will bloom any day now, and the pitchers are about to open up to begin feeding. Shipping was very good. They are very easy to grow and I've enjoyed watching them come out of dormancy! Definitely looking forward to seeing them in their mature state.

My first purchase July 26, 2014
Reviewer: chris cook from portsmouth, NH United States
Hi guy's
I can honestly say i was VERY happy with my first purchase. I ordered a Sarracenia leucophylla x oreophila [Med] which had 16" pitcher's and was super healthy and had  beautiful color's. Shipping was fast and the plant was in perfect condition when it arrived. I also enjoy your podcast's very much as they are really informative. Although this was my first purchase from you i can say you guy's stand well above the other website's i have ordered from not only in your price's but the health and size of your plants. The Leucophylla is my showcase plant in my outdoor collection which is growing great and mighty hungry. Thanks for the great looking plant and all the info you provide to us novices. I will be purchasing more plants and would recommend you to anyone looking for a great plant.
Thanks again!

my first carnivore plant! May 18, 2014
Reviewer: Penny Lindlau from Star, NC United States
Arrived much sooner than I expected from across the other side of the country. The plant was packed to survive any conditions and was in excellent shape. It even survived the two days inside as I finished setting up the spot I was setting up for it out side. - I wanted it up high enough to not tempt the "native" wildlife , cats and dogs of the neighborhood. Is doing well even though my husband keeps peeking in the pitchers to see what it has caught. It already is putting out new pitchers!
