General Description
The yellow trumpet is definitely a handsome plant. Its tall, stout, yellow-green leaves have the cutest curl at the tip of its hood will make you swoon, but it's the sweet nectar that makes flies, yellow jackets and wasps swoon. This plant knows how to attract them!

In spring, the yellow trumpet is usually the first to bring you flowers. Buds form soon after the winter snow melts. Look for yellow flowers in mid spring.

The plant was dormant so it was just a crown. I expected a larger clump based on the pictures but it was just one relatively small growing point.  *** RESPONSE BY SARRACENIA NORTHWEST ***  Yes, the plant was dormant when you received it without any pitchers on it.  The photos don't actually show the base of the plant, but do show a group of plants in early spring.  It's always difficult to predict how large the pitchers during the growing season.  Given that these plants were from the 2017 inventory, I'm very confident that the size of the pitchers will be much larger than they were last year.  Patience is required when purchasing dormant plants.

Just received and opened up the packaging for my S. flava today received from Sarracenia Northwest. Even though USPS was a day behind on the delivery, the plant is in great shape and has three beautiful well formed pitchers. Very happy with this purchase and they did a great job with great care during the packaging.

Thank you!
